
The show drawing the participation of 2,800 exhibitors from 83 countries and regions, attracted about 75,000 buyers, including food service companies, distributors and wholesalers to visit during the exhibition period.
The Vietnamese business delegation including 17 enterprises was led by Mr. Hoang Van Du, Vice Director of the Trade Promotion Center for Agriculture, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development
The exhibition was also attended by Mr. Doan Xuan Hung, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan. Representatives of supporting organizations, associations and committee members as well as Japanese and overseas exhibitor representatives participated in the show that was recorded by Vietnamese State Television channel VTV1, the Vietnam News Agency in Japan and a number of other Japanese and International News Agencies.
Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung affirmed that Vietnam-Japan relations have thrived over the years. Despite Japan’s protectionist policies in agriculture remaining strict, both sides can share similarities to promote mutually beneficial trade.

Vietnamese businesses hope to establish relations with Japanese importers, expand the Asian market, develop new export items, sign valuable export contracts and promote Vietnam’s culinary arts and agricultural products.
The event, Asia’s largest food and beverage trade show, has been held since 1976, and aims to contribute to the food industry by providing the latest information relating to "Food", and creating the opportunity for business expansion.
Dao Van Ho, the Director of the Trade Promotion Center for Agriculture said: “In the near future, we will increase trade promotion activities in other markets including the US, EU, and Japan as well as Russia and India. With assistance from the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development and Industry and Trade, we hope that more Vietnamese agricultural products will be exported”.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the 126 meter-display area of the Vietnamese business delegation attracted nearly 200 visitors. The exhibition will run until March 6th./.
