In recent two decades, the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in Singapore has usually visited labour countries every two years in order to learn about markets of labour and opportunities to expand the investment of U.S. enterprises. Mission delegates are the leaders of some large organizations of U.S. such as Bechtel, DLA Piper, Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin, McDonald's, Mead Johnson Nuitrition, Nu Skin … and others.

At the meeting, the representative of the delegations expressed that U.S. enterprises pay more attention on Viet Nam’s market and therefore the purpose of this mission is to meet Vietnamese Government agencies and local chambers of commerce to find out the opportunities, fields to growing investment of U.S. enterprises to Viet Nam.

At the meeting, both sides also exchanged and reviewed the cooperations in trade and investment between Viet Nam and United State; the policy and concessionary of Viet Nam to foreign companies in general and for U.S. companies in particular; also evaluated the beneficial of two countries in the region when the TPP is signed. Both sides also acknowledged the achievement of import and export turnover between Viet Nam and America in recent time.

Deputy Minister Mr. Tran Tuan Anh highly appreciated the cooperation between Viet Nam and U.S and affirmed that Viet Nam always considers the U.S as a strategic partnership in all fields of political, economic, social and human resource development. Deputy Minister also emphasized that Vietnamese government always facilitate to support enterprises through political reform, investment law, open door policy, anti – corruption, transparency… in the encourage investment fields of infrastructure transport, human resource developments, science and technology, and enhance competitive ability.

At the end of the Meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Tuan Anh affirmed that Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam always facilitates, supports American enterprises to invest and cooperate in Viet Nam.
