Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Khanh received the Ambassador of Switzerland in Viet Nam

In December 16th 2015, the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam (MOIT), Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh, had a meeting with the Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland in Viet Nam, Mrs. Meatrice Maser Mallor on the occasion of her new assignee as a Ambassador of Switzerland in Viet Nam (since October 2015)

At the meeting, both sides have exchanged and discussed the issues related to promoting and accelerating the trade cooperation between Viet Nam and Switzerland in the future, especially on the occasion of celebrating the 45th years of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Switzerland.

The Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Khanh highly appreciated the development of cooperation relation in recent time and affirmed that Viet Nam always treasure the cooperation development in various fields with Switzerland. Concurrently, he also acknowledged the support of Switzerland by means of technical assistance projects, ODA projects and FDI projects in Viet Nam.

The MOIT also highly appreciates the support of Switzerland in the FTA negotiation between Viet Nam and EU and also recognizes the assistance in EFTA negotiation. Both sides also discussed and agreed to pay more attention and accelerate the EFTA negotiation process.

At the end of the meeting, The Deputy Minister do hope that Viet Nam and EFTA countries would conclude the negotiation in order to sign the EFTA agreement to promote the economic and trade relation between Viet Nam and EFTA countries in general and Switzerland in particular.
