The country's 2016 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2016

The economic management quality of Viet Nam’s cities and provinces was continuously improved in 2016.
 
The Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) on March 14 announced the country's 2016 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI).
 
Accordingly, the central city of Da Nang still maintained its leading status among Viet Nam’s cities and provinces in the PCI 2016. It is the fourth successive year Da Nang seized the first position and the seventh time it was honored by the business community in the PCI.
 
The northern province of Quang Ninh came second with 65.6 points, followed by Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap with 64.96 points, southern province of Binh Duong with 63.57 points, Vinh Long, 62.76 points and Lao Cai, 63.49 points.
 
Ha Noi managed for the first time in many years to exceed the 60 point level and ranked 14th.
 
The annual report, the 12th of is kind so far, collected information from 11,600 enterprises, including more than 10,000 operating in 63 localities and 1,600 foreign-invested operating in 14 cities and provinces in Viet Nam.
