Korean investment projects focus on the areas of processing, manufacturing, real estate trading, construction and accommodation services. Major businesses like Samsung Electronics, Doosan and Hyundai are effectively implementing projects and are looking to expand investment in Vietnam proving their confidence in the investment environment and potentials in Vietnam.
To attract Korean investment the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment got together with the Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy, the Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Korea Association of Commerce and Industry organize a first workshop on improving the Korean business environment in Vietnam last month.
In the short term the two parties will launch many workshops to help Korean investors better understand improvements in the business environment in Vietnam and to hear problems from Korean investors.
