The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance cut prices of petrol, kerosene and oil on the domestic market on July 2 following a fall in world prices.

Cooking gas prices fall sharply The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was slashed by VND2,900 (14 US cents) per kg on May 1, meaning cooking gas prices would be cut by about VND35,000 ($1.7) per tank weighing 12kg.
This decision was reached at a meeting with the Ministry of Industry and Trade on June 10.
Tuan added that consumers can now complain to the responsible agencies about any hike in prices and the market management company would impose stiff penalties. Although the Price Control Agency has not approved the proposal to increase dairy products, some companies have pushed up the prices nevertheless.
